The Avian team has been busy working on an exciting project for Gneiss Energy, a high-end advisory practice operating in the energy and natural resources sector.

Commissioned by the company’s founder and industry expert Jon Fitzpatrick, we created a brand proposition to accurately reflect the organisation’s past, present and future.

Gneiss Energy specialises in transaction origination and execution for oil and gas clients, providing independent strategic advice at board management level. Their impressive client portfolio includes some of the biggest hitters in the energy sector.

Their burgeoning success means their requirements included branding, business cards and marketing materials as well as a website to accurately communicate their expertise, experience and capabilities.

Gneiss is the name of a type of rock, produced by intense heat and pressure, and it is found in the Outer Hebrides dating back 3 billion years – two thirds of the age of the Earth.

Taking the firm’s origins, literally and nominally, in geology as the foundation for our design, we created a sleek and solid brand image, using a limited colour palette and strong typography.

In print, the use of copper foiling and high-quality paper stock conveys the company’s gravitas. The high production values are consistent across the website, designed by our sister company Blue2 Digital, featuring simple navigation and dynamic design to let Gneiss Energy’s impressive resources speak for themselves.
