DC Thomson are are leading media company working in newspapers, magazines and digital media. The company is widely recognised for its work in the publishing sector with the production and printing of well known titles such as The Beano and Dandy. Over the years, as traditional media evolved, DC Thomson have adapted their company portfolio and now work in a wide range of digital sectors.
Within this fast paced environment the DC Thomson brand had become dated and not reflective of the now vibrant multifaceted business. Avian was tasked with evolving the brand to bring it into line the new positioning and vision. It was of paramount importance that the brand considered the varied activities and companies that fall under the DC Thomson umbrella. The identity had to be flexible and adapt across a range of applications.
As part of the development a comprehensive identity guidelines was produced to allow all DC Thomson companies to implement the brand with ease.
