Our multi-talented Finance Director Vicki, and other members of the Tayport community have been working hard to keep spirits up during lockdown. They have been placing cuddly bears in their windows so that local children can spend their daily exercise going for a bear hunt!
Vicki, who has always had a passion for crochet, saw the pattern for the NHS Hero Bear and decided to add it to the Tayport Bear Hunt. Her bears can also be seen waving from her husband’s lorry, which is currently parked up in Tayport next to a popular footpath! Vicki even had a special request from a friend who wanted to give the bear to a NHS Nurse at the Christie NHS Foundation in Manchester. She makes the bears for fun so when her friend offered to pay her she didn’t accept and instead, her friend made a very generous donation to a local food bank to pay it forward.
It’s amazing to see a community coming together to raise spirits at a time like this!
