Since his first appearance in ‘The Sunday Post’ over 80 years ago, Oor Wullie’s popularity in Scottish culture has spread throughout the nation and he is now a true icon of Scotland. Oor Wullie is the wee Scottish laddie with buckets of attitude coining famous phrases such as “Jings!”, “Crivens” and “Help Me Boab.”

The day is fast approaching, (only 3 sleeps), until 200 Oor Wullie statues and over 300 Wee Wullies take centre stage in Scotland’s 5 major cities. The BIG Bucket Trail is the first nationwide public art trail. Taking place over the course of the next 11 weeks from Monday 17th June, funds raised will support 3 children’s hospital charities: Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, and the ARCHIE Foundation.

Here at Avian we are very proud to have spent the last 6 months working with DC Thomson, Wild in Art and the trail’s charity partners, donating our creative and production services as design partners to The BIG Bucket Trail and this very worthwhile cause that will benefit so many children and their families in the future.
