Brand evolution for DC Thomson
Avian have been busy working behind the scenes to refresh, and revitalise the brand identity for DC Thomson.
Having recently moved back to their original headquarters at Meadowside Dundee, the client was keen to revisit and strengthen their brand identity to better reflect their expanding business interests.
Barry Strachan, Lead Creative, Avian said “From the outset, this was a really complex design brief. Apart from revisiting and refreshing the core DC Thomson identity, the client has a varied portfolio of publishing and B2B and B2C brands and was keen to somehow incorporate a degree of brand recognition into materials produced by the individual companies. We have managed to accomplish this by creating a brand architecture and colour coding to stationery, literature and marketing collateral which allows strong recognition of both the parent and subsidiary brands.”
